Welcome to my piece of the Web. This is the facelift version of my old site. It serves as an exercise, to force myself to `clean up the mess' and structure my internet activities. The result should provide real content. It's mostly validated HTML and light on the graphics. You won't have to wait an eon for any of the pages to load.
If the HTML or images on this site seem to be confusing your browser, see the site design notes.
To access some of the picture folders a user-name/password pair is required. Please email me if you like to have one or if an existing one is not working anymore.
At the moment I am writing a transcription of a speech given by Brad Kuhn, executive director of the Free Software Foundation. He talks about his beginnings in the free software movement and gives concrete examples from his experience as being a proprietary software developer as to why free software is a far better way to make and sell software. It should be considered an excellent introduction to Free Software.
I am also reading The Art of Unix Programming to learn about the engineering wisdom and philosophy of the Unix community.
